ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2024

***SCHEDULE CHANGE TODAY - Due to technical difficulties with the Focus Time app, students will report to their Coram Deo during Focus Time. 

HOUSE FIELD DAY - This Thursday we have House Field Day! We are looking forward to a great day with all of you kicking off the House Cup race for the 24-25 school year! Some important information below:

• House Field Day will take place at the CAT from 9am-1:30pm. This means that you can arrive straight to the CAT rather than going to the downtown campus. If you will be riding a bus, we will have transportation from downtown to the CAT and back as well. All students should fill out this transportation survey to help us plan.
• Please wear your house shirts (new students will get them today) and clothes you can easily move around in including gym shoes, bring a water bottle clearly labeled with your name, and put on sunscreen before coming out (it's going to be a hot and sunny day!)
• We will be providing a pizza lunch for everyone that will include one slice of pizza and sides, you are welcome to bring any additional food for lunch that you would like.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES CHAMPIONS - If you are over 16 and are looking for a way to make a difference in the West Michigan community please consider applying to be a Catholic Charities Champion for the 24-25 school year.  If you would like more information click this link or stop by 501 to talk with Mrs. Perry. The deadline for applications is Sep 20, 2024. 

YEARBOOKS - Yearbooks are in and will be available for pickup next week! Distribution will take place during lunch based on grade level. Juniors on Tuesday, and Sophomores on Wednesday. If any students had an older sibling graduate last year, those yearbooks are available in the main office.

WHITE OUT GAME - AUGUST 30 - Cougar Gear will be selling White out T-shirts on Tuesday, August 27th and Wednesday August 28th during the lunch hour at CC. The first home game of the season is a White out game. Please wear to the game on August 30th. The shirts are $10 each. We have adult sizes and a limited number of youth sizes. You can pay by cash, Credit card, or check (made out to Catholic Central Athletic Boosters). The shirts are first come, first served while supplies last.Any questions, please contact Wendi Moore weemoore@comcast.net

WANT TO START A CLUB? - Are you interested in starting a club at CC? The current clubs are listed in the form linked below. If you would like to start up a different club, please fill out THIS FORM. This form is due by Friday September 6th. Club sign ups are going to be held following week (Wednesday September 11th and Thursday September 12th). If you have any other questions, please contact Ms. Grace VanderMolen at gracevandermolen@grcatholiccentral.org. 

BLOOD DRIVE - September 13, 2024 is the next CC blood drive. So if you are 16 or older you are encouraged to give others the gift of life since one blood donation can help up to three people. Also, those who donate/volunteer a certain number of times qualify for a special red cord that is worn at graduation. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - St. Paul the Apostle is hiring several part-time Child Care Assistants to work the after school care program for the entirety of the 2024-2025 school year. The start date for this position is August 19th. Hours will be 3:00-5:30 Monday-Friday. We are looking for assistants to work with preschool and school age children. This is a perfect opportunity for high-school students looking for some extra income. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Please see this FLIER for more information.

HARMEL ACADEMY - Harmel Academy students, faculty, and staff are traveling down to Chicago to the IMTS Trade Show (the largest manufacturing technology show in the western hemisphere!) on Tuesday Sept 10th. They have invited a few of our students to travel with them and attend the trade show for free (including entrance into the show, travel and meals). There is a giant robotics demo and many other interesting exhibits and networking possibilities.
